The sprites would likely have a problem if Richter starts cutting down entire groves willy nilly. As long as the kobolds provide raw materials for the forge as payment, along with gold, I do not think it will slow down the process of arming the village by all that much.Īt some point they are also going to replace older gear with better versions from the forge, that older gear should still be superior to what the kobolds are using.

I'm not saying they can deliver hundreds of weapons to the kobolds in the immediate future, but a small steady stream of weapons and gear is better than nothing. The HT gets 10 blades a month, thats not a major drain on the village production. They have sufficient weaponry for the forseeable future, the village army has been armed since well before the battle with the goblins, and I imagine that a good chunk of whatever militia they could raise in case of invasion also has something. Betting on the kobolds is the path with the greatest chance of success.Ĭlick to expand. The mist village is behind their need for potions because those are single-use items, they burn through their stock during each of the major battles. What is almost certain is that inaction will not lead to a desirable outcome. There are some risks of course, but no strategy is without risk. At the same time it would fill Richter's coffers with gold and silver nuggets from the kobold mines, and secure a supplier of raw materials. It would however have an impact on the kobolds ability to defend themselves and start pushing back, which should help repair their relationship making option number 2 or 3 more likely.

Richter trading war materials to the kobolds would make little difference to his relationship with the goblins and the eaters seem like monsters, they likely cannot be reasoned with. Click to expand.Would they trade war materials to the enemy while they are being invaded? Seems unlikely.Īs I see it, there are four possible outcomes of the underground three-way war:ġ) The kobolds could win and turn towards the village as their next goal.Ģ) The kobolds could win and return to a neutral stance in regards to the village.ģ) The kobolds could win and start building a relationship with the village.Ĥ) The goblins or the eaters could win, in either case they would undoubtedly remain a major threat to the forest, except now the factions stopping them from rampaging through the northern forest is gone.
